Worship Ministry

“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.”
- John 4:23-24

Music was an important part of worship during the Old and New Testaments.  There are many accounts of people praising God with instruments, voices, and dance.  Every week the worship ministry serves the Lord and their congregation by being leaders in worship.  From contemporary worship to hymns to southern gospel music, the worship ministry strives to create an atmosphere where generations can worship together!

Our goal is to not only lead worship through song and dance but also with our lives off the platform. Worship is much more than the moment in time during a service where we sing, dance, and play instruments. It is our desire that the Lord would be glorified through every aspect of our lives.

Praise Band
Psalm 150 instructs us to praise God with instruments.  During worship we utilize guitars, drums, and keys. Our band practices on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm in the sanctuary. We would love to build on the foundation that we have by adding strings, horns, and auxiliary percussion.  If God has gifted you in playing any instrument and your desire is to use it for His glory, please contact Director of Music, Carrie Hill.

Praise Team and Worship Choir
2 Chronicles 5:13 says, “The trumpeters and singers joined in unison, as with one voice, to give praise and thanks to the Lord…they raised their voices in praise to the Lord and sang: ‘He is good; his love endures forever.’”  During our 3 weekly services the praise team leads the congregation in worship. The choir joins the praise team for worship 2-3 times per month on Sunday mornings.  The worship choir also works hard during the year preparing for Christmas cantatas and Easter productions.  Both the praise team and choir rehearse on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 pm in the music room.
Auditions for the worship choir are held at various times during the year.  Praise team vocalists will be chosen from those who have first shown dedication to the worship choir.  If you are interested in singing in the worship choir please watch for announcements and contact Director of Music, Carrie Hill.

Dance Ministry
Psalm 149:3 says, “Let them praise His name with dancing, and make music to Him with timbrel and harp.” The Glorify the King dance ministry focuses on worshiping the Lord through the artistic expression of dance. Worship dance is an outward expression of gratitude and praise to God. The mission of this ministry is for each person to submit themselves in mind, body, and spirit to Jesus Christ so they may encourage others to worship God through movement.
